We Rocked the House...

The Rock the House event featuring five chefs and six local brewers and benefiting The Oak Park Regional Housing Center and School of Rock was filled with positive community juju!  I was lucky enough to be matched up with proficient home-brewer and all around remarkable guy, Rick Boultinghouse, to create an unexpected, but successful food and beer pairing for more than 100 local revelers.  Thanks to Leif, Amy and Rachel I was able to churn out a boat load of pretty little tastings...

In addition to offering up copious amounts of beer and little culinary delights each lucky guest recieved a customized tasting glass and a pretzel neclace for easy snacking.  How cute is that?

My friends Rich Klevgard and Ron Martin were also responsible for serving up a duo of memorable dishes.  I loved Rich's smokey brisket and Ron's sophisticated pork mole on sweet potato.

I love an evening where friends can be found on both sides of a serving table...

As Leif said the entire evening was so much fun it felt like quasi-volunteering and we could not have imagined a more perfect way to celebrate our anniversary!

Such a great evening and always so good to see you. Bonus that money went to a good cause.
