Italia Day Four: San Marino

Following our adventures in Florence and Pisa, we made our way to the Republic of San Marino to settle in for five days of soccer and sight seeing!  San Marino was founded in 301 AD on the top of Mount Titano and remains the oldest remaining sovereign state in the world to this day.  The third smallest country in Europe, San Marino's economy is bolstered by heavy tourism and the closed city center fills with visitors every day.  Both Finn and I were simply enchanted with the tiny town and felt the burn with each trip we made to visit the three signature towers at top of the steep city streets!  We loved having quaint and cozy San Marino as our home base during an intense soccer tournament.
