 My mom discovered Chicago's family run restaurant, Nana Organic,  while watching an episode of Diner's Drive-In's and Dives with a 'getting fresh' theme.  As soon as she saw the food she wanted to dig in!  My parents came in to town this week-end and we were determined to make her dreams of tasting their Biscuits with Duck Gravy come true!
 Let me just say Nana does not disappoint!  There isn't anything remotely "dive" about the place, but none-the-less deserve all the air time attention they get.  The restaurant is comfortable and sunny and the organic menu celebrates farm to table fare with a creative flair.  As predicted, my mom settled on the biscuits and gravy.  The duck confit gravy is served over two puffy butter loaded biscuits with cipollini onions and two eggs.  As amazing as my mom's breakfast was Leif and I thought ours was even better!
 We settled settled on a restaurant specialty called  "Nanadict" featuring pupusas and house made chorizo. Pupasas are an El Salvadorian version of tortillas and the masa rich and subtly spicy dish was elevated even further by a memorable poblano cream and perfectly poached eggs.  What a winner of a breakfast!
 Nana was even more than capable of meeting Emma and Finn's divergent dietary  preferences.  Finn fell in love with his shrimp and fried oyster po'boy with Cajun mayo and Emma was in heaven with her granola, fruit, and yogurt plate!  Smiles all around indicate this is a perfect brunch spot in the city!
