Every year during the week before the kids begin their winter break I try to schedule a bunch of holiday lunch dates with friends. My friend, Rhonda, has been talking about Davanti Enoteca for quite a while now and I've been anticipating sharing a meal with her there since she first mentioned the place! Today we finally headed into Little Italy for lunch to check out their offerings and man, I am so glad we did! Everything we ate was exceptional (save for the pork belly, but the mostarda that came with it was amazing) and we especially enjoyed the beets, polenta, and farro salad. I was very partial to the egg toast as well. The restaurant doubles as a wine retail establishment and I am eager to return in the evening to try out their vast array Italian wines sometime soon.

For me, sharing memorable a meal with an incredible friend embodies the spirit of the holiday season in every way. Thanks for inviting me, Rhonda! Cheers to great food and even better company! xo!
