Sometimes I have a hard time being thanked for helping others, but tonight I just let it happen and boy am I glad I did! Angela and Brian took Leif and me to the Longman and Eagle for dinner as a thanks for watching H after school for a few weeks this year. I swear to God we ate half the menu!

Even though I traded a "nice Chianti" for a Black Maple Hill Bourbon, you can just call me Dr. Lecter. Not only did I eat Fava beans, but also a bit of brain, throat, marrow and yes, even testicles! Oh my delicious! The duck testicles were not a flavor highlight of the meal, but they were not bad and I like the culinary cache eating them brings! The marrow bones were out of this world and the vegetarian Angolotti was one of the strongest dishes of the evening. The the braised head and neck of the pig known as, Tete du Cochon, was a revelation. I would love to recreate the dish, but I think sourcing the ingredients might be a little tricky!

Sincerely, every single bite of this small plate insanity was memorable! I have to be honest this was one of the best meals I've had in a very very very long time. Thanks friends. You are the simply the best!

I am glad you guys went there. After eating there last time (my third time there) I said "Melissa needs to eat here soon". I think I told you this but after eating my first meal there I said "If I were to give birth, I would like to give it righ here." I think a trip with all of us is in order.
