A Meal for Musicans

Yesterday afternoon, I had the honor of cooking for an intimate group of people including members of the The Grant Park Music Festival's board of directors, supporters, musicians and conductors. It was an honor to meet and cook for everyone in the room, but meeting principal conductor Carlos Kalmar (below) and chorus director Christopher Bell were definite highlights!
This was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon and I am sure to pack up a picnic and see these great men in action as soon as I can! Want to join me?
(These simple ginger spinach dumplings were my favorite dish of the day)

Dear Melissa;

There are no words to describe what a smashing success you mad my party yesterday, dinner afterward, munchie snack b4 bed, breakfast and now the "small pickins" for lunch today.

I cannot thank you enough for the culinary delights you brought to my house. The guests were in awe as well and so far I have 3 glowing emails thanking me and you for the wonderful spread you laid out and for your creativity as well as engaging personality.

I am finishing off the noodles and chicken as I type.

You are truly a genius, and "food magician". I hope to talk to you again real soon - call anytime.

Peace & Love, Dick Tribble
