Keeping Tabs

Emma has the most adorable quirks imaginable.
Yesterday I noticed a series of tabs on the pages of the book she's reading and asked what they were for. Emma informed me she marks the number of pages she's read each time she picks up her book. I asked her why she does this and she responded, "I don't know really, but I like to mark progress. I can also look at the tabs and tell how much I liked a book and where the highlights are in the story."

I actually think the idea of tracking how many times you had to pick up a book to finish it is brilliant. Obviously your reading cirmcustances would influence that (on vacation, on the el, etc..) but I may start doing that as well.

That is so cute. Callahan dove head first into the "Percy Jackson and the Olympian" series which they say is similar. It is hard to find a series that Cal really likes do you think he would like Emma's book? Is it Mythology? The amt of pages may intimidate him...better when they are broken up into multiple books.
How was the water park? Which one was it?
