Last week I said a small good-bye to the Oak Park and River Forest Day Nursery. After seven years on the board of directors and serving out my final year on the executive board, I felt it was time for me to move on. Of course, I will have a small role on the development committee and assist in planning the organization's 100th anniversary celebration in 2012, but leaving this great organization brings out mixed emotions.
I attended the annual meeting of the board a few days ago and I was honored for my years of service and presented with these gorgeous flowers. I allowed myself to go into the space to be thanked and that wasn't easy for me because I learned more from this great organization than I was ever able to contribute.

That was very nice. Are you selling tickets in advance to the movie?
