Tonight my friend CR asked me to put together a spread of appetizers for some very close friends. Her sons are graduating from middle school and they wanted some special occasion fare to celebrate the day.
I arrived and they headed out to the ceremony. Alone in their house, I sliced, diced, seared and steamed.
I sang an operatic version of the Flintstones theme song.
I ate a dumpling.
I plated up dish after dish after dish.

I stacked the coffee cups, turned on the lights, and walked out of the empty house ten minutes after they were supposed to be home.
For all I know CR and her friends could be having a high end food fight!
Does a scallop get good trajectory?
I like feed back...and I am just going to have to wait.
At least I know I would love to come home to that spread!

Wow! My kids came home to chips and dip. Looks fabulous! P.S. An unexpected fire alarm set the ceremony back a while. Interesting to see all the parents herded out across Scoville.
